Event
Definition: An event is a single experimentally controlled stimulus (e.g., the presentation of a word, visual stimulus, or tactile vibration) or a participant-mediated action (e.g., a motor response). In event-related designs, experimental trials consist of such events, separated by appropriate inter-stimulus intervals. In block designs, multiple events are presented in a given block.
