Nyquist Frequency
Definition: For signal processing systems that transform a continuous-time signal to a discrete-time signal, the Nyquist Frequency is the maximum frequency that can be acquired at a given sampling rate in order to be able to reconstruct the signal completely afterwards. Typically it is 0.5x the sampling rate of your system. Beyond the Nyquist frequency, the signal experiences a distortion known as ‘Aliasing’.
