Wavelength

Definition: Wavelength is the distance between corresponding points of a wave separated by one period. It is commonly denoted \lambdA, and given by:\lambda = \frac{u}{v} where u is the wave speed and v is the frequency. In fNIRS, wavelength refers to the specific range of light wavelengths used to measure changes in chromophore concentration in the brain. Typically these are between 650-900 nm.
