Hello again 🙂

I have a question regarding motion artifacts detection and filtering.

If MotionArtifactByChannel function doesn't comes up with any motion artifact (with STDEVthresh=50, and AMPthresh=5), do I need to use the other motion correction methods (tPCA, Wavelet, Cbsi) anyway, or does it means my data is pretty cleared?

Thank you!

Neta

Dear Neta,

The two thresholds you use are both high to capture any motion. You can try 20 and 0.05 respectively. Then look at your OD data to see if it captures sharp spikes in your data.

Hope this helps.

@mayucel Hi Meryem, how do you come up with the number 20 and 0.5? I tried for my data and some spikes are not picked up yet. Are we just doing a trial and error method here to determine the value that picks up most of the spikes?
