While trying to create optimal montage with the help of AtlasViewer we do the following:
Import montage data file that was recorded in Nirx to the AtlasViewer, then I register atlas to dig points, register probe to surface, project probe to cortex, Curr subject channels.
After these actions I get the brain areas and the corresponding optodes. The problem is that the areas displayed are non symmetric, although the montage is.
For example:
1 |
1 |
Frontal_Mid_R |
9 |
8 |
Frontal_Sup_Orb_L |
1 |
2 |
Frontal_Inf_Orb_R |
9 |
9 |
Frontal_Mid_L |
The channels in the first and second row are symmetric in the montage but mixed up in the AtlasViewer. We could not figure out why and would like to solve the problem in order to create the optimal montage for our purposes.
Thank you.
Hello, was this problem resolved? we are seeing something similar in our montages. Does this reflect actual anatomical asymmetry or is it a bug?
Hi can I please ask how you are getting the brain labels, the new version of AtlasViewer doesn't seem to be the same and I do not see it on this version?
Colin head -the atlas Atlasviewer uses- is not symmetrical. If a channel projection falls around the boundary between two regions, labels may come up different for the two hemispheres - one falling to one region, the other falling on the other region. However if you see the labels are super off, e.g. from non-neighbor regions, this should be a bug. Please provide more information, perhaps some screenshots as well.
