Hello there
I am using Atlasviewer to overlay my probe onto anatomy in the hopes that I can eventually run some sensitivity profiles. However when I load my subject folder containing the .snirf files (created in Homer3) I get an error saying that my loaded probe has no registration data. I think that this is an error in the original probe creation and is pervasive throughout our data. I then created a new probe that has the correct registration data (anchors etc) which seems to align correctly with the atlas. I would like to use this new probe rather than the probe information located within the .snirf files. If I open an "empty" folder with no .snirf data in it, I can load my new probe successfully. When I open my master subject folder containing .snirf files, i cannot load the new probe, it just keeps asking me to add the registration data. So my questions:
1. Is there a way to fix the probe information in my .snirf files?
2. Is there a way to do this without going in and fixing them all individually?
3. Is there a way to use a new probe (like the correct one I created) for all of my data?
Thank-you

You have to go in and fix them individually in the snirf files.
OK, great. Which variables do I need to update within the .snirf file and are there instructions for how to do this?
Thank-you
Hello,
One more quick clarification to my last post. I am attempting to add registration data to my loaded probe by clicking the Yes button after I receive the error stating that it contains no registration data. I then viewed the SDgui with my probe loaded. The probe itself looks correct at this point. I then clicked the Add registration info radio button which takes me to a slightly different GUI that contains no springs, no dummy optodes, or anchor points. I then entered three anchor points and clicked save. I also selected File/Save. The next time I load this probe, the anchors are still there but I still get the "no registration info" error.
My question is, how do I enter the registration information to the probe so I can "register probe to surface".
Thanks for your help.
You need springs. Easy to do that in your last figure by clicking on neighboring numbers in your probe plot window on the upper right. Just keeping clicking number pairs for all neighboring pairs.
