scattering and absorption coefficients for wavelengths other than 690 and 830

Hello, 

Once we calculate optical properties (mua & musp) for our wavelengths, how do we calculate the absorption and scattering coefficient for our different tissues? it does not seem to do this automatically

I have no idea how we would calculate the optical properties of the different tissues automatically.

Do you have a citation describing how that would be done?

Thanks for your response, David. I may have a misconception. I assumed the output of calculate optical properties (mua and musp) would be fed forward into the parameters of the monte carlo simulation to better represent the nirs device being used. in other words, the wavelengths of our device are not the same as the ones that are default in atlas viewer. So, i was under the impression that i had to make use of the calculated optical properties when setting up MC parameters so as to model our system most accurately.

the underlying assumption here is that the MC parameters (scalp absorption, scattering? etc) are reliant on the mua and musp. perhaps not? thanks.
