Hi,

Im using Homer3 to analyze the results for my experiment. Before each session, I acquire the digitized points of the hat over the patient head. I noticed that in the snirf file there are the locations of the sources and the detectors (both 2D and 3D). I assume they are same for all the subjects unless modified. The coordinations are used in some of Homer3 functions. What can I benefit from changing the coordinates in the snirf file to the real coordinates I acquired? I already using the in the AtlasViewer but I'm looking for something more than visualization.

Changing those positions will impact visualization and image recon in AtlasViewer.

In Homer, the positions are used to get the source detector separation for the functions that convert Intensity and OD to Concentration. It is also used for short separation regression in the GLM. I don't think it is used anywhere else.
